Shore Power Plug Assembly
These cable assemblies mate with the shore power receptacles to provide a reliable circuit between the facility and the receiving ship. The shore power plug can accept varying lengths of cable to accommodate individual facility layout. General Marine Products, Inc. can supply either completed assemblies, or the components of the plugs to allow for field assembly.
Submarine outboard shore power plugs are available in two configurations, straight as used on Trident Class submarines, and 90° as used on SSN688 Class submarines. These plugs are provided with 500 KCMIL cable and are in use at all facilities that provide shore power to US Naval Nuclear Submarines.
